Through shaded lenses I view the world,

My eyes magnified yet dimmed.

Colors fade while the image clears,

A kaleidoscope within.

Wet and grime in perfect squares,

To a prophet’s voice unheard,

But beyond the means to a blinded few,

A lighted flag unfurled.

Shout to the festive crowd,

A glory they soon will see,

For from shaded views of gold is read,

The words that set us free:

“For God so loved the world,

that he gave his only begotten Son,

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,

but have everlasting life.”

So to the open fields I look,

To a distant offering that it will give,

By shaded lenses I see it’s clear,

 All God’s harvest for Him

Will live.
