OUR PLEA

For so many years you said you loved me.

Didnít you promise to live your life with no one else?

But now you tear away with no remorse,

Leaving my heart in agony.

Stop and reconcile, donít divorce this eternal spouse!

Canít you see what this is doing?

Donít you realize Heavenís doors are closing

As you leave your family and walk away from this house?

Please come back to the love that was here so long.

Is it really ever too late to forgive?

Are we so weak that this love can't prove to be strong?

We were the dream of marriages, perfect in every regard.

Remember our wedding, our friends, our family there?

Remember the place on the hill, our dog, our first car,

And the times of joy we shared while you toiled in the yard?

Was it the job or was it all the bills and the lack of having money?

Did we change our vow and decide our love

Was only for the Ďricherí and Ďbetterí?

Or was it the children that made you turn your love from me?

We were envied at church because of our faith and trust in God.

But as chaos crept in, church seemed to be pushed out.

Is that how your decision was made

Based on the lack of action to serve God?

Iíve learned now that Jesus Christ must rule over our love.

It is only by walking truly with Him

That this world will pass

While we are set on His path above.

Please come back to the love that was here so long.

Is it really ever too late to forgive?

Are we so weak that His love can't prove to be strong?

I heard His voice calling me, it was Jesus crying out,

ďPlease come back to the love that is here so long.Ē

He said in our weaknesses,

His love will prove to be strong!

Stop and reconcile, donít allow this divorce!

We are bonded together, and as the Bride of Christ being called,

We must not falter, but stand strong to these times before us.

Hear our plea, Please come back to the love that is here so long!

For it is never too late to forgive and be forgiven!

And then in loveís strength, the weaknesses will be gone!

In my loveís strength,

All weaknesses will be gone.
