Psalm 1:
3 He
is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and
whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. Revelation 22:
2 …...
On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit,
yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing
of the nations. Living within ‘time’ on
this earth, we remain confined to the structure and established framework of
‘seasons’. But Psalm 1:3 is the
promise to the Saints of God that as we live life on this planet, we will pass
through different seasons, all the while however enjoying life, a prosperous
life. We will have a time of
dormancy, when internal feeding, nourishment, and strengthening takes place.
It may seem like a season of winter, in that trials may separate us from
what we would want to think of as a ‘normal’ life.
In this season, we might feel like we have been abandoned, or left alone.
But this season must take place in order to become prepared to move
directly into the season of growth. This
time may resemble a springtime of budding, blossoming, stretching, and widening
of our territory. Here we may feel
that a great deep breath has just been taken in and signs of better things are
appearing in our life. We need the
strength from the previous season to make it through this season. Then from here
the fruit of our strengthening and growth begins to produce all over us.
We are frolicking in the joy of a summer like day, renewed in the hope of
blessings to come. We begin to see
the fruit of our hopes and dreams. Then our harvest comes.
Oh what a bountiful, plentiful, rewarding, and glorious time it is when
we receive all that we knew would come to us in blessing.
We seem to be surrounded in rainbows of joy and offerings.
This is the season of feasting and celebrating.
But life on earth goes on, and we pass back into a season of seemingly
dormant times. It is a certainty
that the passing of celebration will occur, and the coming of ‘winter’ will
flood over us once again. But to
live, and prosper in life, we must realize and remember, the seasons must come
upon us in order to move back into the harvest, feasting, and celebration of the
new fruit that will be produced in the coming years.
This is our life in Christ right now, within a time-hold that God has
placed upon us on this earth. But
in Heaven, Revelation 22:2 reveals that the harvest is continual, our blessings
are constant, our giving and receiving never cease, and our joy and celebration
never ends. Seasons of ‘winter’
no longer exist. Springtime of
growth has found its perfect place in Jesus. The joy and plenty of summer and
fall seasons are always with us. Praise
the Lord for the time of celebration that provides newness to us regularly and
eternally. Praise the Lord for that
continuous day with Him. Praise the
Lord for His seasons of life. Praise
Him for the ‘seasons’ within us now, for we need the time to grow, we need
the time to be strengthened, we need the time to breath in newness, we need the
time to view the process taking place that provides the fruit of our lives, and
comes then into the great and wonderful time of celebrating a bountiful harvest.
Yes, praise the Lord for this life in the seasons of time.
Each will come and be fulfilled, moving us into the next. Each is a step to a harvest of blessing.
Where are you? Where am I? What
season are we in right now? Remember,
we are just processing forward to the next.
Each season is as important in the process as the next, and the next
after that. Praise the Lord for the
season we are in at this time. And in it, life endures.
Our life, the tree of Psalm 1:3, will not die, but will flourish.
And then ultimately, and finally, we will be with our God, the Lord Jesus
Christ in His promised land where the trees of Revelation 22:2 will flourish
before us. Glorious is our God,
providing life to us in the seasons here on earth that we endure, and yet, so
much more He provides in Heaven! Praise
the Lord for providing us life in the seasons of time, and praise Him eternally
for the ever-lasting life and continual abundance He has for us in His presence.
Psalm 1:3 shows us our life as symbolized as a tree passing through time
on this earth, but Revelation 22:2 reveals what God has for us in Heaven as
described by the trees on the shores of The River Of Life in Jesus Christ.
Praise the Lord! His Name is
Almighty! Praise His Name! Praise
the Name of Jesus Christ!
