Stare into the waters deepness,

It captures the sun’s brightness,

Mountains steepness.

Shimmering gold,

Sparkling treasure,

Just a glimpse of beauty

In unknown measure.

Skies below reflect skies above,

Mirrored images

For the flight of a dove.

Waters part as the Heavens tear,

From the river to the banks,

The Christ is there.

Waves and ripples repeat what’s done,

While a voice from Heaven says,

“This is my Son!”.

Hear the river shout, the fish sing,

The rocks and stones dance,

For they proclaim Him King.

The waters calm,

The image is clear.

Rejoice!  For Jesus Christ

Was baptized here!
