My
side holds the torment of a spear.
I
roam to seek relief from the suffering.
But
God tells me it is just a thorn,
And
He planted it for the increase of my hope in Him.
Why
can’t I remove it?
Why?
Why?
‘Remember
what I did for you?
I
took the spear,
And
I took the suffering,
And
I took the pain,
And
I took the sin.
I
did all this for you,
So
that life eternal is given to you.’
Lord,
give me strength
Against
the things of this world.
Because
it is Thy will
That
I have a thorn in my side,
May
I accept
The
greatness it will bring to me.

you O Lord
For
the spear that You took
And
the thorn You gave for me.
